Ifyou have Logitech hardware, then seeing this Logitech process (Logi Options+ Agent) running on your PC is completely normal and safe, as long as it's signed by our friends at Logitech.

Logioptionsplus_agent.exe is a process associated with Logitech Options, a software application developed by Logitech Inc. This application is used to customize and optimize the functionality of Logitech peripherals such as keyboards, mice, and webcams.

As long as logioptionsplus_agent.exe is signed by Logitech Inc, it should be completely safe to run on your PC.

How do we know? Our SpyShelter cybersecurity labs focuses on monitoring different types of Windows PC executables and their behaviors for our popular SpyShelter Antispyware software. Learn more about us, and how our cybersecurity team studies Windows PC executables/processes.

The publisher of an executable is the entity responsible for its distribution and authenticity. Most processes/executables on your PC should be signed. The signature on the executable should have been verified through a third party whose job it is to make sure the entity is who it says it is. Find an unsigned executable? You should consider scanning any completely unsigned .exe on your PC.

Logi Options+ is a software that enhances the functionality of Logitech devices. It allows users to customize their Logitech mouse, keyboard, or touchpad settings to suit their needs. This includes adjusting pointer speed, setting up specific actions for different buttons, and configuring other device-specific features.

The logioptionsplus_agent.exe is needed for the Logi Options+ software to function properly. It is responsible for implementing the changes you make in the software to your Logitech devices. Without this executable file, the software may not be able to communicate effectively with your devices, preventing you from customizing your device settings.

Under normal circumstances, there is no need to remove logioptionsplus_agent.exe as it is a crucial part of the Logi Options+ software. If you suspect that the file is causing problems or if it's been flagged by your antivirus software, it could be a sign of a virus or malware disguised as the executable. In such cases, it would be advisable to remove it and reinstall the Logi Options+ software from the official Logitech website.

Important: Some malware camouflages itself as logioptionsplus_agent.exe, particularly when located in the C:\Windows or C:\Windows\System32 folder. Therefore, you should check the logioptionsplus_agent.exe process on your PC to see if it is a threat. We recommend Security Task Manager for verifying your computer's security. This was one of the Top Download Picks of The Washington Post and PC World.

A clean and tidy computer is the key requirement for avoiding problems with logioptionsplus_agent. This means running a scan for malware, cleaning your hard drive using 1cleanmgr and 2sfc /scannow, 3uninstalling programs that you no longer need, checking for Autostart programs (using 4msconfig) and enabling Windows' 5Automatic Update. Always remember to perform periodic backups, or at least to set restore points.

Should you experience an actual problem, try to recall the last thing you did, or the last thing you installed before the problem appeared for the first time. Use the 6resmon command to identify the processes that are causing your problem. Even for serious problems, rather than reinstalling Windows, you are better off repairing of your installation or, for Windows 8 and later versions, executing the 7DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth command. This allows you to repair the operating system without losing data.

A unique security risk rating indicates the likelihood of the process being potential spyware, malware or a Trojan. BMalwarebytes Anti-Malware detects and removes sleeping spyware, adware, Trojans, keyloggers, malware and trackers from your hard drive.

To improve scrolling in my application, I recently added support for high-resolution scrolling wheel events. According to the documentation this is pretty straightforward: The handler for WM_MOUSEWHEEL should support arbitrary values as opposed to just +/- 120.

The second trick works with other things as well. For example, it makes the Windows 10 Settings app scroll smoothly. Here's a demo of the difference in action (first 4 seconds focused, then unfocused with Firefox having focus): =gb1FUtyLxUg&feature=youtu.be

I assume the driver is doing this for compatibility with older apps that can't handle anything that isn't 120. But is there a way for my app to opt-in to get the better events? Or does the Logitech driver simply hardcode a bunch of browsers and everyone else is out of luck?

In the latest software from Logitech called Logi Options+ there is a built-in list of 4 applications where it enables high-resolution wheel scrolling. The list includes msedge.exe, iexplore.exe, chrome.exe and firefox.exe.This logic is present in logioptionsplus_agent.exe.

I have made a small DLL that patches logioptionsplus_agent.exe in-memory to extend the list of applications that support high-res scrolling. It works for current and previous versions of Logi Options+, and may require updating the code when new versions change the calling code.

When is the "applications blocking display mode change" bug going to be fixed? I have to go into task manager and kill logioptionsplus_agent.exe and other logi options tasks in order to get my graphics card to work right.

21 days ago that blizzard reply that they know the problem and investigate it but still no action or fix

Game is playable on Linux but i am not a linux user

Game has issues probably cos its d3d12on11 and that does not work, on top of all the spaghetti code issues Blizzard refuse to admit having issues with.

After looking into Windows Event Log, I saw that right before crashing, I got errors from the logioptionsplus_agent.exe in the module amdxn64.dll - maybe thats what was causing the problems, but I doubt that everyone here with that problem has that installed, but maybe you got something different in the Windows Event Log

Hello i have the same issue, i have a 1 week old 6700xt and from time to time my game wont launch and from time to time in game the abilities are lagging even tho i dont have hugh altency and the graphics are disapearing (e.g, if pulls spawn on the ground they are black) and after a few seconds the game recover but its unplayable and frustrating anyone know a solution?
