What follows within the Fundamentals section of this documentation is a tour of the most important aspects of React Navigation. It should cover enough for you to know how to build your typical small mobile application, and give you the background that you need to dive deeper into the more advanced parts of React Navigation.

If you're already familiar with JavaScript, React and React Native, then you'll be able to get moving with React Navigation quickly! If not, we highly recommend you to gain some basic knowledge first, then come back here when you're done.

React Navigation is made up of some core utilities and those are then used by navigators to create the navigation structure in your app. Don't worry too much about this for now, it'll become clear soon enough! To frontload the installation work, let's also install and configure dependencies used by most navigators, then we can move forward with starting to write some code.

The libraries we will install now are react-native-screens and react-native-safe-area-context. If you already have these libraries installed and at the latest version, you are done here! Otherwise, read on.

You might get warnings related to peer dependencies after installation. They are usually caused by incorrect version ranges specified in some packages. You can safely ignore most warnings as long as your app builds.

react-native-screens package requires one additional configuration step to properlywork on Android devices. Edit MainActivity.kt or MainActivity.java file which is located under android/app/src/main/java//.

When you use a navigator (such as stack navigator), you'll need to follow the installation instructions of that navigator for any additional dependencies. If you're getting an error "Unable to resolve module", you need to install that module in your project.

What I did so far is: through Anaconda Navigator (1.9.7) I created a new environment (with Python 3.6). Then, for this specific environment I try to install Spyder. I click the 'install' button, a progress bar appears and then nothing happens.

I tried the same steps on friend's laptop and when I click install there, the progress bar also appears. When it's done the 'install' button changes to 'launch'. The only difference that I see between our computers is that I have Windows10 and he has a Macbook. I don't know whether this could be the problem somehow.

I managed to solve this by going to the directory where the file libssl-1_1-x64.dll is located (in your case, C:\Users\eweli\Anaconda3\envs\HAABSA\Library\bin\). Then, I removed the file (by cutting and pasting it to the desktop, just to be safe) and ran the installation command again in an Anaconda prompt (with admin rights):

I think the reason for this problem is the incompatibility between the Python version and Spyder version. I just installed Spyder 3.11.0 and when I tried to install on top of it, I got an error. A few days ago, I installed version 3.10.0 and didn't have any problems when I tried to install on top of it. I will try again today and edit with the results.

Edit:It is definitely caused by the python version. I tried the same way today with the python 3.10.8 version and there was no problem. It makes more sense to set up an environment with a python version released 5-6 months ago instead of installing the latest version, or if you set up an environment directly with a prompt without choosing any python version, you will not have any problems.

I have been using conda and anaconda for a few weeks without any issue (with pythonv 3.6).However since I installed tkinter I cannot open the anaconda navigator nor spyder anymore. If i do it from the menu then nothing happend, if I try from the anaconda prompt, it does not work and windows says that python stopped working. The same thing happened yesterday so I unistalled everything and reinstalled anconda from scratch this morning. Everything worked perfectly and the navigator launched. So I then reinstalled tkinter, and the same bugas yesterday happened, I cannot open the anaconda navigator anymore. Installing tkinter also dowloads certifi, and this may be issue (based on what I read from other thread). Before installing tkinter I did update all, update conda and update anaconda navigator.

Here is the link to github issue I just opened, but I never posted there so I am not sure if I posted at the right place or in the tigh way. So I figured i would post here too. There is complete description of my conda environment there as well as the output from when I installed tkinter.

As you can see from the output of your conda install command, when you try to install tkinter into your root conda environment a number of packages already installed there need to be downgraded in order to be compatible with tkinter. This is almost certainly what then causes problems with launching Anaconda Navigator.

where myenv is the name you choose for your new environment and tk python is the list of packages you want to install - you can add any further ones to this list or install them later. (Usually you don't need to specify python itself as most packages are dependent on it, but it appears tk isn't one of them.)

The recommended approach to install ansible-navigator is using theansible-dev-tools package.Ansible Development Toolsaims to streamline the setup and usage of several tools needed in order tocreate Ansible content. It combines critical Ansibledevelopment packages into a unified Python package.

Hi, I've been trying for hours to get MP Navigator EX to open so I can use it with my CanoScan 5600F to scan negatives. I've had this scanner since 2011 and have used it succesfully on both my current laptop and a previous one I had. I'm running Windows 8.1, and as far as I know my OS hasn't changed since last time I used it. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both MP Navigator EX and the CanoScan driver, trying out both the downloads for Windows 8.1 and for Windows 8. Has anyone else had this problem and been able to fix it? My computer won't recognize that my scanner is plugged in either - it doesn't show up under My Devices. The scanner turns on and when it's plugged into my laptop, my laptop makes a sound recognizing that something has been plugged in to a USB port. I've tried every port and none of them will work. I downloaded the free trial of VueScan, which doesn't require a driver to work, and it was able to do a flatbed scan from my CanoScan. I'd like to keep using MP Navigator if there's a way to fix this issue.

Hi all, just wanted to update as I have found a solution. I uninstalled the driver and software, then restarted my computer. Then I went to C:\Users\YourAccount\AppData\Local\Temp and deleted all the files in that folder. Whatever file(s) it says can't be deleted, just hit "skip" and ok. Then I restarted my computer once more, reinstalled the driver and then MP Navigator, and now it all works as normal!

Try disabling your firewall or antivirus, then scanning using the MP Navigator EX. Sometimes an antivirus or firewall may be set too secure, preventing peripherals (such as this scanner) from communicating effectively. If disabling the antivirus allows scanning without issue, try adding the MP Navigator EX and appropriate ports as exceptions to the AV/Firewall.

Additionally, if the computer is a laptop, ensure it is plugged in and charging; automatic power saving features may cause the USB signal strength om batter power to be too low for the scanner to communicate, and may cause unused USB ports to "time out" or "go to sleep".

I disabled my firewall. I do not have an antivirus sotware installed. I then made sure my laptop was plugged in and not on power saver mode, then plugged the scanner in to a USB 2 port and turned it on, but I am still receiving the same error when I open MP Navigator that the driver is not installed.

3. Once the download is complete, please open or run "sd64-win-5600f-14_0_7a-ea24.exe" and follow the on screen prompts to reinstall the driver, reconnecting the USB cable once the installation prompts you to.

Hi Patrick, I followed your instructions but I still have the same "driver not installed" error message popping up when I open MP Navigator. To clarify, when I am plugging the USB back in after the driver installation, should the power switch on the scanner be in the "On" position? That's what I did during the reinstallation. Also, when plugging in to the computer after the reinstall, a Device Setup window opened but the progress bar for this installation remained stuck and would not move even after waiting for a while.

The scanner needs to be powered on and connected to the computer in order for the drivers to install properly. Based on your description of the device setup window, the driver installation may not have finished. Once the scanner is connected, please wait for the setup to driver complete before attempting to launch the MP Navigator again.
