The QA Test Manager will support the IT Project Management Office (PMO) by leading and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This role will serve as the primary liaison between IT teams, business users, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful test execution, defect management, requirement traceability, and business sign-off.
The selected candidate will define and manage UAT strategies, coordinate Unified Compliance Framework (UCF) testing activities, review vendor-provided test cases, lead defect triage sessions, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience creating and executing system test plans and test strategies
- Strong experience managing and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Experience with performance testing and monitoring tools such as JMeter and JProfiler
- Hands-on experience with testing tools including Selenium, JUnit, and Micro Focus UFT
- Strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with emphasis on testing disciplines
- Experience managing, monitoring, and reporting test activities and test results
- Expertise in defect management, problem incident reporting (PIR), and requirement traceability
- Experience overseeing accessibility, interface, data conversion, and performance testing
- Strong leadership, communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience training and mentoring QA team members
Preferred Skills
- Strong SQL skills with DB2 and MS SQL Server
- Experience with ALM Octane
- Knowledge of Jenkins, CVS, Maven, and Ant
- Experience with Sagitec Neosurance or similar commercial UI testing environments
- Previous State of Texas project experience
