The Senior Healthcare IT Program Manager will serve as the system integrator for the Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) modernization initiative, ensuring seamless coordination among Claims Administration, Business Operations, Applications and Maintenance vendors, and other stakeholders involved in the modernization of the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS).
This role will oversee multiple transition projects, manage critical path dependencies, facilitate integration testing activities, and provide executive-level status reporting to governance committees, including the MMIS Executive Steering Committee.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience managing large-scale IT programs, including procurement and vendor management
- 7+ years of experience with Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) and Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS)
- Strong knowledge of Texas Medicaid and CHIP policies, processes, and operations
- Proven experience leading Medicaid modernization and MMIS transition initiatives
- Experience managing system integration efforts involving multiple vendors and stakeholders
- Expertise in developing and maintaining integrated project plans, timelines, and critical path dependencies
- Experience overseeing major IT implementations, testing strategies, and transition readiness activities
- Strong ability to analyze healthcare technology solutions and enterprise architectures
- Experience presenting program status to executive leadership and governance committees
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and coordination skills
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Federal Advanced Planning Documents (APDs) and CMS funding processes
- Experience with large-scale government healthcare modernization initiatives
