Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator to manage, optimize, and secure enterprise Oracle database environments across a hybrid infrastructure, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, and on-premises platforms.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, disaster recovery, security, and automation of mission-critical Oracle databases while driving modernization initiatives and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support Oracle databases (11g–23c) across OCI, AWS (EC2/RDS), and on-prem environments
• Manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Active Data Guard, ASM, and multi-tenant architectures (CDB/PDB)
• Design and maintain Oracle deployments in OCI, including Autonomous Database, Exadata Cloud Service, and DB Systems
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives
• Monitor and optimize performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and cloud-native tools
• Implement and maintain RMAN backup and disaster recovery strategies
• Enforce database security standards, including TDE encryption, patching, and access controls
• Develop automation using Shell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or OCI Resource Manager
• Integrate database operations into CI/CD pipelines
• Support enterprise data governance, metadata management, and data quality initiatives

Required Skills

• Extensive experience with Oracle Database Administration (11g–23c)
• Strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and hybrid cloud environments
• Experience supporting Oracle workloads in AWS EC2 and RDS
• Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, CDB/PDB
• Hands-on experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Linux (Red Hat/Oracle Linux), and Shell scripting
• Expertise in performance tuning, capacity planning, backup and recovery
• Experience with database security, encryption, and compliance standards
• Knowledge of DevOps automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Familiarity with AI-powered database features and LLM technologies

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, OCI Resource Manager
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and database automation
• Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, and metadata management
