Position: Data Stage Developer

Location: Columbus, OH

Duration: 6-12+ months

No H1B

 

Essential Duties:

90%: Designs, codes, test, and debugs, documents and implements easy to complex data conversion programs. Performs all aspects of application programming and development to convert data from Peoplesoft Systems, Great Plains and other systems to Workday. Responsible for understanding the design documents, building complex XML mapping using Datastage and SQL to generate XML files to be consumed by Workday; Builds unit tests with auditable test results to validate converted data.

10%: Evaluates and provides technical solutions to moderately complex data conversion problems. Is an astute analyst/developer that is able to foresee conversion issues, present options and solutions, and drive for agreement within the functional and technical teams?

 

Required Education/Experience:

·         Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent educ/exp

·         3 to 6 years work experience in the development/maintenance of applications or data warehouse

·         Knowledge of relational databases, Datastage with strong SQL, XML and data analysis experience

·         Strong documentation and communication skills

 

Desired Experience:

·         Master’s degree

·         Experience with Workday implementations, financial data (Oracle DB) and data conversion from multiple large disparate data sources

·         Experience working with PeopleSoft, JIRA, .NET, XSLT, SQL Tuning experience a plus
