Position: QA Lead
Location: San Ramon, CA

Requirements:
• 8+ years of experience in testing IT software required – integration testing between software and hardware.
• 3+ years of QA Lead experience required
• IT testing/QA experience within Enterprise global organization, environment
• Testing software systems with large user base
• Global, high impact, high visibility projects
• Testing solutions with multiple integration points, both software and devices
• Testing systems that use multiple languages and time zones
• Testing solutions that leverage Microsoft collaboration and productivity tools
• Judgment to assess criticality of issues and escalate as needed
• Capable of clear and concise oral and written communication
• Capable of analyzing data to report required metrics
• Knowledge of integration architectures and technologies
• A natural tendency to strive for high quality in all deliverables
• Core IT BA skills preferred
• High School Degree required
• Candidates local to San Ramon/Bay Area required
Responsibilities:
• Create overall testing strategy, based on various components of solution
• Create templates for test plans, test scripts, issue logs, issue documentation, metric reporting, etc.
• Establish process for issue reporting, prioritizing, tracking, resolution, and closure
• Develop unit and system test plans for core product, based on user stories
• Develop unit and system test plans for integrations, based on user stories
• Develop test plans for performance and latency testing
• Setup input data for testing
• Plan and coordinate testing with other Chevron teams
• Execute unit and system testing of core product
• Execute unit and system testing of integrations
• Execute performance and latency testing
• Be creative in suggesting solutions to issues
• Perform root cause analysis and present to relevant audience
• Work with technical team and vendor in implementing and testing bug fixes
• Monitor progress of testing and resolution
• Report testing status, status of issues, criticality, etc.
• Assist in Usability assessment, Architecture review, etc.
Team Skills:
• Leads the QA team
• Works with other members of the project team and other Chevron teams effectively
• Share best practices, ideas, knowledge, and experience freely with the project team
• Be willing to learn from others
