Position: Sr ETL Datastage Developer

Location: Mount Laurel, NJ

Duration: 6+ months

Interview: Phone & In-Person

Visa: GC or USC only

 

Client is seeking an experienced Senior IBM DataStage ETL developer to assist on a new company initiative. This position will interact with other members of the data integration team to help develop the necessary processes and code for batch processing of the data for this new Company objective.

This position will provide dedicated ETL support for new Data Governance department starting from scratch

Responsibilities:

·         Develop jobs using IBM InfoSphere DataStage for the data warehouse initiative.

·         Develop the logical and physical ETL design documents from the source to target mapping document.

·         Tune the performance of the parallel jobs working closely with DBA’s and Data Modeler’s.

·         Test and deploy the jobs in the System Integration Testing and Production environments.

·         Provide post-deployment support for the jobs.

Requirements / Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's Degree; computer science, software engineering, information systems or a related technical discipline preferred

·         Senior level technical experience using DataStage (preferably working with version 11.x or higher for at least 2 years).

·         Preference for an overall technical background in Data Management, Data Integration and/or Data Warehousing

·         Strong experience with RDBMS such as: Oracle and IBM DB2 enterprise databases.

·         Experience with performance tuning of DataStage jobs working in conjunction with DBA Teams.

·         Strong production support experience

·         Experience working in a large data warehousing initiative

·         Experience working on applications running in UNIX environments

·         Experience with XML, IBM MQ, Real Time and Near Real Time integrations with IBM DataStage

·         Advanced proficiency with SQL and related-RDBMS query tools

·         Ability to clearly communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical teams

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity tools

·         Experience gathering and translating functional requirements

·         Ability to manage working across concurrent projects at different stages of completion

·         Perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

·         Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills

·         Ability to be flexible and deal with changing priorities and timelines/due dates
