Position: Data Analyst
Location: Reno, NV
Duration: 12+ Months
This experience with the additional ability to do B/A work, you know, gathering requirements and putting together requirements documents.
Good communications skills and if you can find data conversions in the insurance industry that is a huge plus.
Job description
Looking for an experienced data analyst to join our data conversion team which converts legacy data into a new claims system.
Candidate for this position must understand the mission critical nature of this project and work with business and programmers to ensure project success.
Candidates with previous data conversion experience in the insurance industry is ideal.
Must have strong experience in T-SQL and be able to work both independently and collaboratively in team setting.
Effective communication skills with both onsite and offsite team members.
Key responsibilities
· Perform data profiling to understand legacy system data quality and recommend issue resolution
· Study data relationships/ data model in both legacy and new system in order to perform data field mapping and articulate reasons for mapping decisions
· Work with ETL developers daily to ensure exact understanding of requirements
· Work with business and architect daily to gather business and data conversion requirements and present analytical findings
Qualifications and skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, MIS, or equivalent
· 5+ years data analyst role with strong data profiling skills
· Experience in data remediation and data impact analysis to downstream systems
· Exposure to agile project methodology and ability to work in fast pace environment
· Strong attention to detail
· Independent thinker and able to work in abstract environment
· Effective
communication skills a must
