Position: QA SDET Engineer with C++, Python 

Location: Cherry Hill, NJ or Columbia, South Carolina

Duration: 12+ months

Interview: Skype

NO H1B

 

As the SDET, you will be responsible for ensuring that all embedded code delivered is done so with robustness and high performance. You will create and drive automated and manual testing related to the Hardware and Software the client manufactures. You will play an active role throughout all phases of the SDLC while developing and deploying test automation tools.

 

Day to Day

·         Test, verify and validate new software.

·         Client additional areas within software which, in order to meet customer SLAs will require additional testing and help design, deploy and administer these tests.

·         Create test plans while evaluating risk, investment and ROI.

·         Execute test plans, scripts and report the results of testing to team leaders

·         Using C/C++, Python as well as other scripting tools (BASH) execute automated test scripts

·         Provide accurate time estimates so work can be planned

 

Education

·         BS in CS or EE or................

·         School of Hard Knocks + 7 years of experience

 

Specific Technical Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

·         C++ or C

·         Python (or Bash and/or Bat).

·         Visual Studio IDE 2008-17

·         Developing automation test code utilizing tools such as IDEs, LDRA or other similar tools and frameworks that simulate complex multi-system scenarios.

·         Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall or other methodology

·         Automated testing types (unit, functional, behavioral, integration, component, end-to-end)

 

Additional Technical Skills

·         Distributed I/O controls experience is a plus.

·         Experience with JAMA for requirements management

·         Experience with JIRA for defect tracking
