The Leesa Dream Gallery brings together the visions of two forward-thinking online companies. In 2015, the founders of Leesa Sleep dreamed of revolutionizing the sleep industry with a mattress that looks better, feels better and costs less than other premium memory foam mattresses. The founders also dreamed of a company that would measure its success as much by its impact on the world as its revenue and bottom line.

It made sense then to partner with the for-profit social enterprise ArtLifting, which was founded by Liz and Spencer Powers in 2013. Their online marketplace provides a platform for artists who are homeless or disabled to empower themselves through the celebration and sale of their artwork. By securing income and connecting with a larger audience, artists garner positivity that permeates every aspect of their lives.

After immigrating to the U.S. from communist Poland in 1991 as a child, Wosinska found a coping mechanism for culture shock in her camera. It became her passport to a territory ruled by boys, and a language for fitting in and forming heartfelt friendships in the nineties skate community.

In this photographic diary, her raw, visceral images and self-portraits juxtapose with the nascent moments of future skate icons. Focusing mainly on the West coast, with stints in New York, Wosinska chronicled a transformative era in skateboarding as the phenomenon evolved into a lucrative profession. Capturing names like Chad Muska, Austyn Gillette, Jim Greco, Harold Hunter, Ed Templeton, Eric Ellington, Ali Boulala and many other influential skaters.

Simultaneously, we witness her uncertain metamorphosis from a tomboy, navigating womanhood, identity, heartbreak, self-doubt and the fear of rejection. Capturing the dualities that have shaped her life: the joy and exhilaration of skateboarding, meaningful human connections, the adrenaline-fueled arena of drugs, prejudice, the deep need to find a place of belonging and struggles with mental health.

During this period in her life, she developed the sensibility she now employs in her gripping photography: a spontaneity that borders on the ephemeral without lurching into mannerism. This distinctive style later secured her prolific covers and campaigns for major brands and A-list celebrities. From Facebook and Harley Davidson to Nike, her work has been sought after by musicians and actors including Dave Grohl, Keanu Reeves, George Clooney, Joaquin Phoenix, Billie Eilish and many more.

Her quest for love and acceptance, fueled by her desire to become a skate photographer, is one that is universal. It remained a guiding light through her most testing hardships, shaping both her career and close, authentic connections. In embracing vulnerability, albeit at a cost, she transformed it into a force, extending recognition to others and relieving their feelings of loneliness.

This book gives an unvarnished look into her journey. Taking shape in a visual memoir, a semi-chronological monologue: this is Magdalena in her own words, with an openness that is raw and intimate. Profoundly open and, at times, openly profound, her anecdotes and imagery are graphic, striking. This is a story about promises kept and fulfilled, and a dream achieved.

Me and my family were in a cemetery (still, colorful with butterflies) and I heard that 2 local ghosts were causing panic. I panicked too. The cemetery was on a cliff, and I jumped/fell to the lake under. I opened my eyes underwater and it was clear, everything glowed down there (just like if you open your eyes in a pool), there were some rocks and four orange fish. Still underwater, I saw this girl (only the lower half of her body was visible) with a red swimming suit, walking while holding her beach ball. Out of the water, I looked up and my mom and sister were calling me. I looked around and the girl was not there. There was no way out so I just dunked again and she was still there, walking around. I did this a couple of times even though I kinda got scared, because I could only see her lower half underwater.

This was far before I learned about lucid dreaming - about when I was elementary/middle school. I remember this dream well because before I went to the roof and saw this super amazing scenery, I met my favourite anime character. The sky was like this all around me.

I have had dreams of flying since I was a child. I just recently discovered that these dreams were lucid dreams. In this picture I float above my friends and encourage them to spread their arms and try floating up with me. I started creating photographs from my dreams a few years ago during the British Petroleum Oil Spill. My photograph "Time" was the first of these "Dreamscapes" that I created.

The main figure in the painting is on the verge of realizing that he must be dreaming. He is surrounded by "clues" that there is something amiss with his "reality". Some of the imagery in the painting is from my own experience with lucid dreaming.

I had this dream when I was in high school. I chose to make this one because in my dream it was really beautiful. This picture is the hall in front of my elementary school (left), and on the right side should be a track field, which in this picture turned into a vast, dark scenery with a big lake, mountains, and stars behind (kinda felt empty and silent).

During the dream I was in a forest wandering around, lost. As you can see the trees in the back. Eventually when I found a water source. I followed it but it was quite dark and all I had for light was the moon. Once I reached the water source I realized it was a waterfall which resembled the one I visited that day with family. And so I drew this in a frontal position to the best of my abilities.

I'm in space surrounded by seemingly endless void and millions of distant stars but still safely protected by my suit. At first I feel lost but then I notice a rope, connecting me to a tree which is also floating around silently. It reminds me of my home, Earth, and somehow makes me confident that I'm not lost. I can't be lost, the whole universe is my home! I can't be lost because... this is a dream! The realisation fills me with joy and peace, but also awe. Amazing, how real everything feels!

I try to rub my hands together but the suit makes it very hard to achieve stabilization. So I just look at my hands, trying to make out all those little details of the suit. It works, I feel the dream becoming clearer. For some time I just keep gazing the beauty of my dreamscape, repeatedly reminding myself that I'm in a dream. After a while I decide to leave this place but all of a sudden I have no idea how to do that!
