using mysql key words in column name

hi,
I am working with a legacy database, so for the moment I have to use the column name that is provided. One column name conflict with the mysql keyword. So it is not allowing the ORM to work in Helma.
I know in the actually sql for MySQL you can put ` sign around the column name and have it function.
My questions is which hemla files should I change put the ` in the SQL?
Or has anyone made a fix for this problem?
