I ordered a prodigy on the night of release. It has just reached my FFL today and I have been following all of the negative news since. I am torn because I saw this as my entry into the 2011 duty type firearms. Should I return this and avoid the whole mess (If there is one.) ??? I don't want a 1600 dollar gun that I have to have work done to be where I want. I understand that 1911 style firearms are not like polymer guns and need a proper break in. Is that the case, or is this compounding issues in the craftmanship?
When i open the browser and send a request to localhost:8080, it opens the prodigy UI but the content isn't loaded and a message appears - "ERROR:Can't fetch project. Make sure the server is running correctly." Upon checking the browser's developer console - I saw a 403 response from localhost:8080/project.

To test if this is the problem, can you try setting "cors": false in prodigy.json. It's not really recommended to turn that off but they could determine if it is a CORS issue through that test. If this does seem to be the issue, you can set the PRODIGY_CORS_ORIGIN env var with the proper URLS for CORS.
One other possibility is to try to modify your "host" in prodigy.json from "localhost" to either "127.0.0.1" or "0.0.0.0". However, this is usually a fix for a different, but somewhat related error: OSError: [Errno 99] Cannot assign requested address:
Last, another user had a somewhat similar 403 issue with the same Prodigy error message ERROR:Can't fetch project .... Seemed like they forgot to pass a session_id which would be required if you set PRODIGY_ALLOWED_SESSIONS in your prodigy.json. Any chance this could be the problem?
Exiling and returning the creature transformed takes care of all of these issues at once, and, maybe most importantly in this context, it also takes care of any future issues that could crop up from new mechanics and interactions.
Looking to get started with custom recipes or just want to see some code? Checkout our prodigy-recipes repository for a collection of example scripts withexplanations and workflows contributed by the community.
A recipe is a simple Python function that returns a dictionary of itscomponents. The arguments of the recipe function will become available from thecommand line and let you pass in parameters like the dataset ID, the text sourceand other settings. Recipes can receive a name and a variable number of argumentannotations, following the Plac syntax (seethe docs on recipe arguments for more details).
The components returned by the recipe need to include an iterable stream, aview_id and a dataset (if you want to use the storage to save theannotations to the database). The following components can be defined by arecipe:
The before_db callback modifies the annotations and Prodigy will placewhatever it returns in the database. You should therefore use it cautiously, since a small bug in your code could lead to data loss.
Using argument annotations in your custom recipes can be very powerful, becauseit lets you write reusable workflows with settings that can be customized as yourun the recipe. The annotations also help Prodigy output better error messagesif your command includes a typo or you forget to set a required argument.
The @recipe decorator leaves the original function intact, so calling it fromwithin Python will simply return a dictionary of its components. This lets youwrite comprehensive unit tests to ensure that your recipes are workingcorrectly.
So if people think Paramount is motivated to make another pricey Star Trek movie after the last one already bombed better think again lol. When the biggest IPs in Hollywood are now struggling the next Star Trek movie could make even far less than Beyond did seven years ago. Hell Indiana Jones barely made more than it.
Very good news for Prodigy. With live action Trek production suspended for the foreseeable future and the SNW S2 finale arriving this week, who knows when Pike, Spock and the Enterprise will return. And with Discovery on its final legs, animated Star Trek may be all that we have for the next year and maybe longer.
Sounds like a Prodigy S2 announcement will arrive soon and would not be surprised to see another season added, especially if the strikes continue to drag on.
A brand-new clip from Star Trek: Prodigy season 2 has teased a new version of the USS Voyager and the return of The Doctor (Robert Picardo). Star Trek: Prodigy is the franchise's first show to be geared toward younger audiences, and premiered on Paramount+ in 2021 to a positive reception from critics and viewers alike. Unfortunately, Paramount canceled Prodigy in June 2023, removing it from the streaming service soon after. Since the series' cancelation, an outpouring of support from fans had led to hopes of Prodigy being picked up by a different streaming service, especially given that season 2 of the show was nearly completed.

Star Trek fans can expect more legacy characters and a brand new starship when Star Trek: Prodigy returns for its second season. Prodigy's first season finale debuted on Paramount+ last week, featuring the loss of one of the show's main characters. Prodigy's season finale also set up a new status quo. Following the USS Protostar's destruction, its crew finally reaches Earth, where Vice Adm. Janeway (the flesh-and-blood version) takes them under her wing as warrant officers. On Monday, Paramount+ released a new video capping off the season with Prodigy's showrunners and voice cast discussing the finale episode, "Supernova, Part 2."
