This is exactly what I was looking for. Very nice job.

I'm not sure if I can be much help, I'm more of a Perl and PHP guy,
but if there's anything you've got on the plate that I can help with,
let me know!

Hi Rob,

thanks a lot, I'm very glad you like it. I am currently working on
some small things I posted into the Issues section and also making it
multithreaded, so the app does not appear to have crashed when the
connection drops. Otherwise I think it is pretty much done, but if you
have anything that might be useful adding please let me know (I am
running out of ideas of which features I could add). If you have any
crashes I would be very thankful if you could post the errormessage
here.

The main problem is that it is not possible to upload a nzb file using
hellau, since I only access the XML-RPC port which does not support
uploading files. I have the daemon.queue directoy shared via samba so
I can easily save the nzb file there, but of course associating hellau
with nzb files would be neat. There is the possibility to specify a
newzbin ID and tell hellanzb to download it, but I don't have a
newzbin account, so I can't test it.

Well, there is one feature I wouldn't mind seeing, and it's probably
not that hard.

How about having a short queue update (time remaining, maybe number of
titles in the queue) when you hover over the Hellau! icon in the
system tray? I know I would find that extremely useful.

If you want to test with newzbin, I suppose I can lend you mine if you
promise not to tell them :D

Nice idea,

I have added this to the release today, it was really easy to add.
Unfortunately it can only display 64 characters, so there is only
space for some basic info. That is why I will add a context menu when
you right click on the icon in the tray which will then display some
information and will also let you pause and continue hellanzb.

Just a followup to this... That worked for a while, but now it's
reading Hellau! again. I'm not sure what changed or what might have
triggered it, but the queue information isn't there anymore.

Also, you might want to add an About tab with the version and contact
information... your contact information is there, but no version. :)

Hi,
the only reason it should show "hellau!" is when you start it paused and leave it paused. Then it can't collect all the required information and just leaves the default. In the next days I will release a new version soon with some new features and a cleaned up code, maybe it just fixed itself then :)

It's been doing that when the server had never been paused... *shrug*
I'll guess we'll see if it's fixed in the new version.

One more idea for you... automatic checks to see if it's the latest
version. :)

Hi,

I have been thinking about that and it should be easy to add. The only thing I don't like about it is that Hellau then opens a connection to the internet and that might put people off from using it, because they enter sensitive information which I could also transfer.
But thinking about it now I think I will add it as a optional setting.
