The Hellenic Centre in London is celebrating the 15th anniversary. http://www.helleniccentre.org/ Housed in an imposing five-story building in Paddington Street, Marylebone, over the years, the Hellenic Centre has become the nexus of Greek and Cypriot civilizations in the UK. The institution aims at understanding of both the ancient and modern Hellenic world, by highlighting their culture, heritage and traditions and by fostering links between the Greek and non-Greek communities. To this end, the Hellenic Centre provides a home for various Hellenic societies and activities in London (exhibitions, music and dance performances, book presentations and poetry evenings as well as a plethora of public lectures). In addition, for the past 12 years it has also been a Modern Greek Language learning institution, offering courses to adults who wish to learn Greek as a foreign language.
