Dear all,
It is with great sadness that I inform you about the death of the acclaimed author and dear and most generous friend and collaborator Stratis Haviaras. Stratis Haviaras died earlier today in Athens, where he had been living the last twenty years, after he retired
from Harvard. At Harvard he was the Curator of the Woodberry Poetry Room and the Henry Weston Farnsworth Room from 1974 until his retirement. In 1992 he founded
Harvard Review.
Stratis will be greatly missed by all his friends, colleagues, and admirers!
