Hi Tim
No idea why your subject is "OS X 12 behavior" - what you show is the
normal behavior of Thunderbird when you try to edit the settings
manually instead of using the dialog boxes and other means provided by
the program. It is just a warning that you could, possibly, if you do
something weird, damage Thunderbird so that it would stop working.
If you know what you are doing, just click on the text "Show All" to see
all the settings. Every setting comes on one line. If you look at the
image I attach, you see the first line "app.update.auto" set to true -
by clicking the arrows at the right you could switch to "false", which
would prohibit automatic searches for program updates, etc.
I wouldn’t know now where I would change the type size, but I am sure it
would not do very much harm to your installation or Thunderbird.
Good luck,
Christian
