Solved!!!

Searching for Helix Server on another Mac and opened file to see that it was 8.0.1. It worked. Reinstalled 8.0.1 on all Macs from a Time machine backup and it worked everywhere. 8.0.2 continued to no display images in all collections, no matter which version of Client 8 in use. Server 8.0.1 seems to work with all of the clients (v8) that i have.

Will report to BGD but so far had no response from support there

Hi Roger,

I have been reading this thread with interest as time allows.    Last week I asked Steve to take a look at your post and, in short, I think he agrees with your findings.   He emailed me back regarding an interesting technical progression concerning file path standards and Apple and Helix builds, which I think I will just post early next week either here or on the blog (since I can't explain it any better then he does).    We agree that in 8.0.2 there is a change in the way file paths are handled, and that you should stick with 8.0.1 for now.   When 8.0.3 is available, that already has a fix for the change in the new file path standard built in.

As the QSA folks used to say, this email list is fantastic but, it is not closely monitored for specific issues so, contact us directly for support for a specific problem.   I just happened to read this thread and found it interesting.

Hi Dana

Thanks very much for your email – reassuring to find that it isn’t just my machine. But, as I said in the posts, we seem to be talking only about Server 8.0.2 here. RADE 8.0.2 displays all images as requested and Client 8.0.2 works with Server 8.0.1 without any problems – but I guess you’ll have found that out yourselves by now.

I look forward to seeing Steve’s post.

BTW – I did report this to BGD Support but didn’t get a reply - does it have to be done via the Server?
