The main mechanics behind the game are the same as always. That is, your objective is to launch birds to destroy all the baddies on the screen. The fundamental difference here is that the game combines some of the new gameplay introduced in Angry Birds Space with all-new birds.

Angry Birds Blast is a puzzle game where you have to free the birds of Angry Birds that have been trapped inside colorful balloons by evil pigs. To pop the balloons, all you have to do is touch them when they're in groups of two or more.
When you pop the balloons in bigger groups, you can create special objects. The guns, for example let you pop an entire column of balloons, while the bombs pop all the nearby balloons. Using these tools, you have to try to free all the birds in the level before you run out of movements.
In Angry Birds Blast you can find 200 different levels. In some of them you have to simply free the birds, while in others you have to directly face the pigs. To defeat them, you just have to pop the balloons close to them.
We've been playing with these birds for months, they are extremely famous, but the new levels were just small modifications, so Rovio developers have decided to change it and the space gives them the possibility to offer us a different game while keeping the essence.

With speed being a focus - and the ability to continue to move blocks while others fall - it is fortunate that the swipe controls are responsive. This lets you drag birds around the 9x9 grid with ease.
During each round, every set of three blocks you create increases your strength. Plus, if you make a chain of more than three blocks, you can unleash additional abilities. These include blowing up areas of the grid with black birds, and clearing whole lines with the yellow bird. When the time expires, your power is unleashed on your opponent.
As you may expect from a free-to-play game, there is plenty to grind away at to keep you coming back. Winning a matches earns you experience to level-up your birds, but also gives you a chance to win items or in-game currency (which can be used to buy and improve items). You can equip your birds with anything from sun visors to frying pans, all increasing their base stats. This leads to the inevitable grind of having to power-up your flock to take out increasingly powerful foes or, alternatively, paying to speed the process up.
Angry Birds Fight! also has a stamina system. After navigating a familiar open world map, to take on various AI pigs and player controlled birds (you must have an internet connection to play), you can expect your grind to come to a premature halt while your energy regenerates.
Just like the first game, the Pigs hide in multiplex structures and you have to operate a slingshot to catapult various Birds towards them in Angry Birds 2. Various birds with different abilities will be at your disposal as they did before. Completing certain levels will let you unlock Bird Cards. These cards will allow you to pick which Bird is the right one to complete each level.
