Great reads with heroines of color!

Hello Fabulous Parents,

The AMAZING teachers at my daughter's school (Jean Parker ES) have been so successful in getting my girls to be ravenous readers that we are having a tough time keeping up! We are going through so many books, and I am loving it. That said, I was starting to feel like there was a lack of diversity in what we were reading. So I went to Twitter and asked if anyone knew of some great youth lit with heroines of color.... and WoW did the universe provide! I ended up partnering with a book publisher in NY and we put together a Pinterest Board or AWESOME books. I know some of you are Pinterest fiends like myself, so I thought I'd share. And if you think I should add any titles, please let me know. (And please feel free to forward this to other parents or educators you think might be interested.)
