Food for thought...

Are you aware of this? Do we really need another park? In 2008 RPD closed clubhouses throughout the city during the downturn because it did not have the funds to maintain them. We had to fight very hard to maintain programs at Helen Wills Park on Broadway and Larkin. I oppose the creation of more parks if it means the city does not have funds to maintain parks we currently have.

Meanwhile, people bemoan the state of housing in our city, yet oppose any attempts at creating it because it's "development." As you know, many great families keep have left our neighborhood because they can no longer fit their growing families in rent-controled apartments, and cannot afford to relocate within the neighborhood. They end up buying in Marin or Oakland.

It's important that we get involved in supporting responsible development of housing at all income levels. Otherwise, our city will continue to loose some of the great folks that make our city what it is.

Please forward this article to others in the neighborhood who may be interested. And thanks for making our neighborhood great...

Best,
Ali

This is our chance. The neighborhood needs to come together to vote NO for Bus 27 line on Vallejo Street!!!

We just have to act as a GROUP that  SFMTA should "not waste time and resources on the project bus 27!"

600 Lombard Street

Routes: 8X,11,  27  , 47,76

Muni is considering proposed service and route changes as part of the Transit Effectiveness Project (TEP). Developed with extensive analysis and community input, the TEP proposals will modernize Muni for its  700,000 daily passengers. To provide input or learn more, attend a community meeting.Visit www.TellMuni.com to give feedback and sign up for updates. In March, the SFMTA Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed service changes and all community input received.
