Heyworks have launched a Kickstarter campaign for Pocket Troops, their cartoonishly cute multiplayer military combat game. Players choose their team from a variety of recruits, use various facilities to train them, and then send them on to the field of battle. Rather than having direct control over units, ala General Chaos, players must rely on the decisions made during troops training to lead them to victory.

Pocket Troops PC receives plenty of updates each month and you will want to keep your game on the latest version. There are now more than a dozen troops to enlist in your squad; each of them with distinct skills. Choose from an assortment of soldiers from the big brutes to the fastest in stealth.

Learn how to mix and match your soldiers to bring out a full effect on the field. The terrorists are relentless and they will not show mercy to anybody against them. To counter them, you need the best of the best from around the world. Some excel in full-frontal assault while others prefer working in the shadows. Use each of their elements to surprise your enemies in unpredictable ways.

Pocket Troops can be quite brutal in its gameplay but the learn curve is quite low. You see, PT uses a rather streamlined version of turn-based combat. In other words, you do not need to think much when it comes to strategic actions. The game will rather do it for you automatically. However, if you want to switch it back to something more challenging, you can always do so anytime within the options.

Pocket Troops uses a turn-based combat system. First, you will need to assemble your squad. Your members will depend entirely on you. The best way to create an effective team is to mix and match their perks.

For example, in a team of six, assign an Assault, Spy, Recon, Support, Medic, and Sniper. That way, the Assault and Support will act as front lines. Medic will come to the nearest soldier that is wounded. The Spy and Recon members will use sneaky attacks to deal critical damage. The sniper takes watch from the back.

TrOOP is a pivotal element in your Medicare Part D prescription drug plan. It designates the maximum sum you must spend out-of-pocket on prescription drugs within a plan year before shifting to catastrophic drug coverage.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has set the TrOOP threshold at $7,400 for 2023. Once you reach this cap, you enter the catastrophic coverage level, where your out-of-pocket spending on covered drugs significantly reduces for the remainder of the year.

Reaching the TrOOP limit offers a welcome relief, especially for those on multiple or high-cost medications. Hitting this threshold reduces your costs to minor coinsurance or copayments for the rest of the year. This makes tracking your TrOOP vital for effective healthcare budgeting and maximizing Medicare Part D benefits.

You typically pay 25% of your medication costs during the Coverage Gap, similar to the initial coverage phase. Your True Out-of-Pocket costs (TrOOP) are crucial here, as they determine how long you remain in this phase. Once your TrOOP reaches $7,400 (2023), you move to the Catastrophic Coverage stage, where your costs drop significantly.

You can change your Medicare drug plan during the Annual Election Period (AEP), which runs from October 15 to December 7. If you switch your plan during the year, your TrOOP balance transfers to your new Medicare drug plan. Medicare has established processes to ensure this transfer is smooth, starting when you disenroll from your current plan and enroll in a new one. Your TrOOP costs effectively carry over, helping you progress toward reaching the thresholds for the Coverage Gap and Catastrophic Coverage in your new plan.
