Ann and Dick's Big Move

Hey, Ann and Dick are moving out of their home of 43 or so years at 1011 Frances Parkway in Park Ridge. They are heading over to the Resurrection retirement community on Talcott, just east of Harlem -- and joining Marsha Heidkamp, who will be making the move soon as well.. More on their new address later.

I'm reaching out to the Heidkamp community -- especially those living in the Chicago area -- to ask for help in a couple of ways.

First, they cannot bring their three super-friendly cats with them for the move. See the attached pic. They are pretty independent -- so they could live separately -- although it would be great to find a home they could live together again. We are wondering if any family or friends -- or anyone they know -- might be interested in gaining some great companions. We are not completely desperate, as the shelter they came from (PAWS in Chicago) will take them back and find a new home -- but we'd prefer that skip that drama and trauma. Please let us know.

Also, they are planning on having a final garage/house sale to clear out their home before putting it on the market. The sale will be on Saturday and Sunday, February 11-12. Everyone is welcome to come (I've attached a couple of sample pics of the nicer furniture items available), but we are looking for help in arranging the home for the sale in the week leading up to it -- and being salespeople on Saturday and Sunday. Please let us know if you can volunteer any time. If you have never been part of one of Dick's garage sale before, now is the time!
