to Heidegger Thinknet
Interestingly the word Dasein is a key term in Hegel. Being and Time
begins and ends with overtures to Hegel. I am thinking these days that
Heidegger means the same thing that Hegel means Determinate Being. At
one point in Being and Time Heidegger calls Dasein by the name Spirit
from Hegel. I think this puts Dasein in a new light. Heidegger is
trying to distance himself from the Phenomenology of Husserl by
appealing to the earlier Phenomenology of Hegel. Of course, Husserl
did not like that as the entire conception of phenomenology is
different. But if we read Heidegger in the light of Hegel's
phenomenology then we get a completely different picture of what Being
and Time is about.
