The latest Samsung devices come pre-installed with One UI, an operating system that has been specifically designed to make things simpler, clearer and easier to use. One of the design features has been the removal of the apps button, giving you more space for your most used app icons.

You can access all of your apps by swiping up on your home screen.

I recently signed up for the personal version of Teams and downloaded the desktop X64 version for Windows. At first, I had access to the APPS Store icon in the lower left above the round HELP icon, but now it is missing. I have found several others reporting this issue in the past year, but often the suggestions to solve did not work, and none of them (so far) have for me either.

I have tried restarting, signing out/in, and clearing the local cache files from my machine, reinstalling, disabling my GPU, signing in with Chrome (looks the same), signing in with the Android app (no apps there either).

@SteveGatz Hi, you have business/enterprise accounts where all is included, Teams free org. with some features and you can add a personal account within Teams with very limited features. To me it sounds as if you're in the personal view and need to use the "tenant switcher" called Accounts & orgs from the top right corner choosing your Teams free org. where you will find the apps again.

Me too. Installed a timer app but the App icon doesn't display when I launch Zoom on my mac. While the App icon does appear on my iPhone and iPad, the timer itself doesn't support mobile devices. Zoom Apps quick launch button is enabled.

I've installed my first non-play store APK on the CCwGTV, and the app shows up in the settings, but not anywhere else. I'd like to have the icon for the app on the homescreen for quick access, or at least somewhere more accessible like in the apps tab. Does anyone know if this is possible, or do I need a 3rd party launcher that I can manually configure what apps show up?

@poweractivate , I have sign out and clear all browser cache and the issue still exists.

@almapete21 , my steps are similar to you.
I just add the content in Power Apps, click save and publish. After I leave the application, the app icon become blank even I have not edit the icon and color.

In Splunk 7.3.0, when I add an app via Splunk Web ("Install app from file"), the custom app icon doesn't appear immediately after I install the app. Instead, I get the default app icon: the word "App" inside a circle.

This seems like such an obvious, in-your-user's-face issue that I almost can't believe this really is the situation; that you have do something extra to see the custom icon. It really does make me think I'm missing something. But all of the anecdotal evidence I read confirms that, yep, what I'm experiencing is just the way it is.

"The app icon should appear after you install the app using Splunk Web" --> Yeah that's the default behavior, icon only requires refresh after you modify it or add a new one but not after a fresh install...

I have created several Canvas-based Power Apps that we use in Microsoft Teams. Recently, all apps have icons that display as missing image icon instead of the actual icon. I've tried updating the icons in the Power Apps and I'm selecting icons from the predetermined choices. I've also tried clearing my Teams cache. Is this a current bug? Does anyone have a way to fix these?

(Manage Team > Apps > Uninstall). After that you can add the App again to the Teams as Tab > this time you will see the correct image.

The same is for the missing symbol on the left-hand-side-navigation. If you click on Apps and you will just see the name of the app but none icon: Right-click > uninstall > open the app again and you will see the correct icon as soon as you've closed the app and come back there (Recent Apps).

Due to improper handling I accidentally removed the application list icon from the home screen of my Sony Xperia XZ1. I looked in all settings how to reinsert but impossible to find how. Someone would know by chance how to recover this icon? And if possible describe me the steps to follow since I am not very comfortable with the technical terms.

Just before Christmas I installed a 1Password8 update (beta channel) on my MacBook Pro running Ventura. After the update I noticed that the App icon in /Applications and the Dock was now all blue. At first I assumed it was a deliberate change related to the festive season until I noticed that another Mac running the exact same version still had the normal icon.

In November/December, we updated the icon of the beta version of 1Password to better distinguish it from the production version with the usual icon. We also updated the icon slightly around this time which is why we introduced this updated icon for the beta version of 1Password. @OAW is correct in saying that reverting back to the production release will bring back the regular icon.

So I can have the (nice) regular icon and the production release, or the (horrid) beta icon and the beta release but not the nice icon with the beta release. I pretty much always run the beta release (so I can report issues more rapidly) but I really hate the all blue icon. Guess I will just revert to production then.

The downside is that the custom icon will likely be undone with each update to the beta so switching to the production version is still the best option if you'd really like the non-beta icon. I've passed along a request on your behalf to the product team to include a way to change the icon from inside of the app in the future.

Hi there,
My icon changes between Beta and Production versions: sometimes it is regular sometimes blue.
I do not jump between release channels.
My Release Channel is currently set to Production but yet have the beta icon.
On the about page it states I am on the BETA channel.
What is occurring and how do I fix?
Thanks in advance.
Andrew

@Ben So therefore what you are saying is there could be a delay from switching from Beta Channel back to Production channel until it is deemed safe to switch back?
I have noticed my 1Password switch back to the Production channel with the update to 1Password for Mac 8.10.0 (81000055). My icon also changed back. Yay!!

Add an item to the Dock: Drag apps to the left side of (or above) the line that separates the recently used apps. Drag files and folders to the right side of (or below) the other line that separates recently used apps. An alias for the item is placed in the Dock.

A red badge on an icon in the Dock indicates you need to take one or more actions in an app or System Settings. For example, a red badge on the Mail icon in the Dock indicates you have new emails to read.

I've updated my app, and the icon not display.
I tried the bump option, I cleared Clear browsing data, changed configuration in app.conf
also, the files appIcon_2x.png
appIconAlt_2x.png are in the right size 72x72

Thank you for this awesome app! Right now, I am using shortcuts to hide all and minimize window. Is it possible to add feature to either hide/minimize opened apps/finder windows by clicking on App Icons on dock?

After last Android app update (i guess to 1.86.0.6) on kid's device a pop-up showed asking whether I want to activate some new setting/feature. First option was to activate it, second to keep current behavior (something with 2-finger swipe gesture???). I chose the first option. Since that time an icon in the edge of the screen is overlaid on the device screen (showing always, overlaying everything, all apps). The icon is shown in screenshot attached (marked in red - bottom left). I want to get rid of that icon because it is disturbing. Please provide me with instruction how to hide the icon. Thanks.

KSK 1.86.0.6) on kid's device. KSK icon in the edge of the screen is overlaid on the device screen (showing always, overlaying everything, all apps). The icon is shown in screenshot attached (marked in red - bottom left). I tried to find app settings to disable the icon but did not succeed. Nothing happens when I tap the icon.

this is on Realme 8i, running latest OS for that device - Android 12.0 with RealmeUI 3.0. If i tap and hold the icon I can move the icon around the screen but when I release it, it will again stick to the nearest screen edge. There is no icon management menu opening after any action as this does not seem to be ordinary launcher app icon but rather some feature of KSK much like the Facebook Messenger discussion icons that one can use (these are permanent overlay too).

First of all, there's 2 kinds of Accessibility permission: The main permission that must be turned on for app to work properly and the "shortcut" permission to display overlay icon which function is to easily turned off and on the main Accessibility permission.

Did you see the two ugly overlay icons over there? The overlay icon for Kaspersky AV also can't be removed/turned off with the method @Flood and Flood's wife suggested, same as KSK overlay icon. However, I can remove it by turning off Kaspersky AV shortcut Accessibility permission and it won't disturb Kaspersky AV main Accessibility permission.
