Job Opportunity: M & E Consultant at AGA Khan Foundation

AKF-India is recruiting a M&E consultant for 3 to 4 months, of which at least a month will be spent in Bihar state, to support a baseline study for a Canadian-funded project that AKF is presently starting in 42 schools in two districts of Bihar. The actual baseline process (involving child assessment, interviews with teachers, school management committees, and classroom observation) is being outsourced to an Indian consultancy firm. The role of the consultant will be to support the AKF-India project team (probably based in Patna, Bihar) to manage the consultancy and to work with the consultants and the team on data analysis and report writing.  The anticipated starting time is the end of February/early March, so interested persons should contact AKF as soon as possible and be available for rapid deployment. The rough profile is: a strong background in M&E, a background in education, experience working in a developing country, and a ‘young professional,’ preferably.   Please send CV and a letter of interest to alison...@akdn.org and to Lara Griffiths,la...@akfc.ca.  Thank you.
