The International Development Hackathon, supported by MIT and Harvard, is seeking volunteers.  Do you know anyone with technical background or who is a hacker in educational development, or supports technology in educational develop programs?

The International Development Hackathon solicits projects from NGOs, nonprofits, and government organizations operating in the international development space as the basis for projects during the hackathon. All participants are welcome to work on their own project, but are also encouraged to work on presnted projects at ID Hack. Last year we featured projects from many organizations including the Peace Corps, Jana Care, and Sana Health.  Our organization, Vaxtrac, is one of the projects being supported by this initiative.

Who: Organized by the Harvard Developers for Development and the MIT Global Poverty Initiative, the International Development Hackathon (ID Hack) brings together hackers, technology enthusiasts and organizations working in international development to create impact with technology.

Where: ID Hack begins on February 15th, 2014 at 5PM and ending at 5PM the next day. The day includes networking, hacking, and workshops.

Sign up: Interest in technology in international development, including education, (that's it!). Participants from all technical backgrounds are welcome and there is no entrance fee for the event.

Event Schedule

ID Hack is a 24-event that begins on February 15th at 5PM. Hacking and workshops will begin after project presentations and will continue thorugh the evening. The second day will include project presentations, networking, and an awards ceremony.
