Hello everyone,
I would greatly like to get Hecl running on my Motorola em326g phone .
"Need more Java space, Install failed!" is currently the message I get
when I try to install the jar file from the .tgz archive I downloaded.
I have heard that there is a limit to how big the jar files can be on
this phone, that is probably true, so maybe a smaller jar could be
made som how? If it is actually impossible, that's fine but I would at
least like to try. Thank you.

You could probably hack on the code and recompile it some, but before
embarking on that process, I'd try and find out what the phone's
limitations are, to see if the .jar we currently have is close, or if
it's way off.

I have since been learning a bit and have got Kahlua, a tiny implementation of the Lua scripting language to run on my Motorola em326g. I have got the JDK and also ant, antenna, and the WTK 2.5.2. I went into then hecl folder and ran 'ant', corrected the WTK pointer and I still get an error, but now more than one JAR works on my phone and it gives me the example applet shown on the main page Hecl.org. Is this all that can be done on the phone? Or can one edit and run live interpreted code? My build errors seem to involve it not finding a bunch of .xml files like devices.xml, groups.xml, etc.

Is seeing the examples program enough to say that hecl is compatible with my phone? If so, I would like it to be added to the compatible phones list! Thank you for replying so quick and hope to get somewhere with this soon!

You can create your own scripts/jars - have a look at the tutorial.

You can also interpret code directly on the phone, certainly.

Ok, I'll see if I can find a moment to add it. Thanks!
