1) I asked this latter gentleman, prof. Jonah Fraenkel yetz"u, who
confirmed he was working on a tefille (siddur for non-Yekkes). Due to
be
published in a couple of years.

2) I think I saw the machzer volumes available as
microfilms/print-outs.
