Hack Your Hackerspace 7/23/2020 - Meeting Notes

Attendance - 13 members / 12 card holders

Old Business

  • Screen printing station is up and running.  Richard is the champion and has been learning about the new equipment.  It includes both a screen printing and stamp printing station.  Gretchen, the person who donated the equipment, has connected Richard with a professional screen printer who is providing some training.  The stamp printer is going to need some replacement silicone parts.

New Business

  • An AC estimate was provided and is under consideration of the board.

Proposals

  • CNC Mill Upgrades, passed 13Y/0N

Station Reports

  • 3D printers knocked out of alignment, work has been done to improve.  People are trying to print ABS on the Enders with little success.  Ultimaker should be used for ABS until we can fabricate enclosures for the Enders.  Working on communications and signs.

  • Incubator is being removed from the bio-lab.

  • Lockers from the kitchen moved to the machine shop.  Oil added to lathe and some work done to tailstock.

  • Austin is working on cleaning the upstairs area.  If you have anything in the area that is not on a shelf please find a place for it.

  • Searching for a good location for the utility sink.  Two possible locations are the bio-lab and the shower.
