Over the past couple of days, I've been wondering about what exactly made the Maker Party so successful. Honestly, there isn't much that is fundamentally different to it from Open Hours. All I did was spontaneously announce that I wanted to do some sort of special event one Thursday morning, roughly organized volunteers to man particular stations, did some light advertising, and let everyone do their own thing. I wasn't even there for most of it because I relinquished ownership of the event two days before it happened after suffering some mental health struggles. Yet the feedback has been outstandingly positive.
