Robert ran us a Hacker Your Hackerspace tonight!
No Proposals:DISCUSSION:0. Rick brought up the discussion on getting the floors professionally cleaned. There is a Slack channel. Please take discussion on #floor-project.
1. Eric pointed out he has a lot of wood in the kitchen for a project.
2. Nate pointed out that multiple times people have removed light bulbs in the lab. Please post in Operations if there are problems to be addressed regarding lighting. Lights were re-installed because no problems were noted.
3. Nate comments that if people think the AC isn't working they can adjust the thermostat. It will reset itself after 15 minutes.
Station Reports
Wood shop: Darrell is fixing the power cord Sliding Compound Miter Saw.
Laser Station: Cpro swapped out the old Windows XP computer with a Windows 7 machine. The driver for the USB dongle has been tested to work on this system. It isn't current tech, but it is an improvement.
Nate pointed out that the laser is very dirty all the time because of a small group of users. Robert pointed out that if a policy needs to be made and enforced somehow to limit these concerns then that should be a proposal to reduce the need for complaints without any way to resolve the problems.
3d Printing:Cpro has updated one of the Octopi units with a more updated version and if there are problems report them on Slack and use Unit 2.
The upgrades Antonio proposed are finally installed it should result in faster printing and fewer needs for maintenance.
