thanks for the reply about what the differences between the current sets of
cameras are. My question was intended to be slightly different. with a HYH
meeting thursday and a post that this may be discussed there, I'll try to
clarify my question
what is the technical difference between a camera that is 'just' a security
camera and one that is a 'creepercam'?
is it the capability to see the output in real-time vs delayed
Is it who can view the output? is it the content of the output?
if it's who can view the output, and having the who be the Internet, would it be
acceptable if it was limited to members? if that's still too broad, what if it
was limited to cardholders?
if it's the content of the output:
There is a post asking if a camera system that had no video output but just an
AI to count people-like objects that enter and leave to try and provide a
reasonable estimate of the number of bodies in the space. would this be
acceptable?
would AI pixelating/bluring of faces be acceptable?
what other options are there? what makes a camera setup cross the line from
'security camera' (good or at least acceptable) to 'creeper camera' (Evil (TM))
Is there a middle ground where cameras can be usefult to members but not cross
over into creepercam territory?
