There has been an ongoing discussion on the slack #3d-printing channel about an upcoming resin printing certification class to be taught by Antonio Contrisciani.  After a two-year hiatus, the class was rebooted two months ago and it was fantastic - I learned a lot more than I expected as Antonio is well familiar with the subject matter and answered this newbie's random questions clearly and fully.  Just posting in the general channel in case there are interested persons who are not subscribed to the 3d-printing slack channel.  The class is not on the calendar as yet, but the date being discussed is only a week away.  So head on over to the 3d-printing slack channel, or just reply here to let Antonio know if you are interested in the class.  Resin printing produces objects with smooth surfaces and very fine detail (far better than the more familiar regular FDM printing).  As such, it finds application in producing miniature figures for the wargaming hobby, and it can be used to make inexpensive molds for plastic injection molding and lost-cast metal casting, and to make inexpensive microfluidics chips (biology/chemistry/medicine) to name a few.  Note that this certification class is a necessary requirement to use the resin 3d-printers in the lab, and given how rarely it has been held, you might want to sign up to be safe.
