There are also people working really hard behind the scenes too. Nate C, David, Cpro, and I'm sure others. There's lots of ways to contribute to HSL.

I am demanding classes, open hours and workshops. I will of course be teaching classes like always, and Milton is doing laser classes and Darrell is doing machining classes. Sarah is planning jewelry classes. We are not even breaking even with the old rent and it's going up 1k. We will perish as an organization. If no one will help the few who are always trying to do their best, then it's on you when we close our doors forever.

I'm terminally ill and constantly struggling to even live each day. I have more important things to do than to always mediate rude, inconsiderate behavior. My time is also better spent not constantly begging people for help and never getting it, and sometimes not even an answer. One small board cannot do everything to keep this organization afloat. We cannot generate money from thin air.

Since kindness and reason don't work, I'll try guilt. I'm exhausted. I'm sick. Please help HSL reopen and get back to our former glory. Please. I'll help you any way I can.

I just found out how to get heatsync nominated to be on the list of charities that people can donate to through the community service fund, which will be good for publicity and allow people who already donate to that fund routinely to send support our way. I also found out how to apply to have heatsync added to the list of qualifying charitable organizations that Arizona residents can receive a tax credit for donating to. (I.e. if you donate $400 you will get $400 back on your tax return, while reducing your federal tax bill at the same time because your federal taxable income is $400 less)

To support me in applying on our behalf, I will need about 30 minutes of help from someone with our 501c3 paperwork handy, and the contact info of a board member willing to serve as the point of contact for when the state accepts or rejects our application.

Email me if you can help. Thanks!

Thanks, Heather! I'll talk to David Flores, who is familiar with the 503c paperwork.

For anyone who would be up for hosting events but needs ideas there's this old idea dump post with all past events a a bunch of ideas for events.

Another thing we can do is ask to find out who is able to help host events as co-host. No need to be a cardholder for this.

Sometimes people who have the skills to host events aren't comfortable hosting on their own. If you or someone you know has skills and would be willing to host an event but are not a cardholder a HeatSync cardholder is likely to help host and get you going on the workshop.

Just kidding; it's still a request, but please help us reopen after COVID. We can use any help you can offer.

Not yet. If you’re reading this and you have access to HSL’s 501c3 paperwork, email or call me! I’d love to schedule some time to knock this out.
