Hey Lab,
Does anyone have comments about rules that are inconsistent via the various places on the wiki, bylaws, and anywhere else?

This came up in other recent discussions. I agree that we should fix rules that aren't well structured. We could use help finding and clearing up whichever things lead to the most confusion.

It is important to me that the focus be on supporting the core principles on why we are here. So getting every wording on every policy correct can often seem trivial and unimportant. However if the things that are written are consistent then it makes it easier for new people to know what to expect.

Here is an example of where information about a process is inconsistent:

Several places mention proposals should be submitted 1 week prior to HYH, but on the HYH page it says
"Proposals for voting are posted on the email list board immediately following HYH for the next HYH period"

This means I have to make any proposals I want to be voted on for 01/09/25 back on 12/09/24. That isn't very reasonable.

It's just an idea until there's a date and time included.

This would be a good use of AI (LLM) we can have it identify areas where inconsistencies exist, and probably suggest ways to resolve them.

I do think we should have consistent rules, and would be happy to do the coding to tell an LLM what we want it to do in this effort.

That would be sweet!
