Jot ran us a hack-your-hackerspace

11 members - 10 card holders

old business:

lease stuff - no changes, board needs to take some action.

new business:

Mike Wolfson - we're not good at thanking people. So Mike got a few of us together and wanted to say thanks to Nate who put in several weeks at the lab to make sure we got our AC back online. Thanks Mike for coordinating this.

Luis - Using the newly freed up space in the AC equipment room.  The proposal will be voted on next week.  Still plenty of time for more discussion on the mailing list.

Proposals:

None.

Station reports:

coworking - 1 more monitor.  We could use some longer hdmi cables

3d printing - moving it to the other side of the lab, swapping out the vinyl section.

machine shop - things are going well, some houseking issues. People leaving equipment around.  People have been leaving things that could be tripping hazards.

laser - the lens is getting knocked out of alignment.

Hey, special thanks to those that made it to the lab in-person.
The lab clean-up went well.
This was an encore performance of last HYH major cleanup.  ("Blower Room blowout!")

LJ cleaned the accumulated grime off many of the white storage drawers.  They actually sparkle.
Greta sorted out the disorganized mess in some of the office supply drawers.
Hayden did a thorough sweep of the place, catching some of the areas missed on more casual sweeps.
Rick and Cpro swapped the 3D-Printers, and tossed out a bunch of the accumulated crap from the front area.
Darrell handled the other half of the swap:  moved the vinyl station and t-shirt press.
MikeW (among other things) cleaned the piss off the front entry.
Luis did a wipe down of the co-working monitors, and a lot of incidental spot cleaning around the lab.
Jot handled the trash and the restrooms.
NateC bossed everybody around.  Cleaned the entrance podium.  re-Hung some signs.

Those of you that couldn't make HYH:  SEE WHAT YOU ARE MISSING!?

In all seriousness, the many users that can't or don't attend HYH, have no excuse for not cleaning up the place (and cleaning up after yourselves.
You're encouraged to spend 15~20 minutes when you visit the lab, and clean up or straighten up an area of your choosing.

Special Problem:  TRASH
(random liter around the lab, drink cups, and food containers)
Too often the trash containers are piled high, or even worse something nasty has been fermenting in there.

TRASH:  If in doubt, take it out!
