Keurig K-Duo 5100 - Missing Carafe

Our Keurig K-Duo 5100 in the kitchen is missing its carafe. I looked through all the cabinets in the kitchen and couldn't locate it. If someone could locate it or find a replacement for it, that'd be awesome! 

I think it would be a nice thing to have for our Saturday morning HYHs. I plan on bringing in a canister of Folgers and some decaf coffee pods for it.

Jay sorry for coming in late on this last week has been crazy. Did you receive this carafe? Did it fit? My understanding is that the machine I donated was a 5100 fit, not a 5000 and I am worried it might not properly fit into the machine.

I can check today when I get in for 3d print day if needed.

Wait, I thought this was Landon's machine? Are we even talking about the same Keurig?

Anyway, I placed the carafe in the machine (in the northwest corner of the kitchen counter) and didn't see any immediate sign it wouldn't fit. I didn't actually test it, though. Taking a look today would definitely be a good idea.

maybe it is? i dunno I donated a similar machine to the lab about a year year and a half ago

So, I’ll make a mention of this at the next HYH but from what I can tell happened here:

- Antonio and I briefly discussed the missing carafe on the last Saturday HYH. I wanted to make coffee and brought my home maker in and made it, because if we are going to have Saturday morning HYH coffee seems like a must (Einstein Bros wanted to charge me more for a carafe of coffee than a baker’s dozen bagels, and no thank you)

- I noticed the machine in the kitchen was missing a carafe, a Keurig 5100 (I checked!). This machine, I would later learn, was donated or permaloaned by Landon, and a different machine from the one Antonio and I were discussing

- I posted this email, just for visibility 

- Landon mentioned to me privately that someone broke the carafe for the Keurig that is in the kitchen 

- Jay got us a new carafe which appears to be compatible with the Keurig in the kitchen (thanks Jay!!!)

- The machine Antonio donated, which was the one I thought was in the kitchen but is in fact different, is MIA. I think we should make some effort to locate it, so we have a backup (and multiple coffee machines would not be a bad idea!)

Therefore, the case of the missing carafe is thus closed, the case of the missing Hamilton Beach FlexBrew remains open.  Stay vigilant, friends!

Also I dropped off some Trader Joe’s coffee, I’m going to donate some decaf pods as well for those of us who are caffeine sensitive (oh, it’s me).
