Old business

• Roof leak
• Darrell reached out to the owner again today post leak.

SW Makerfest

• Great engagement and attendees.  Made more t-shirts than prior year.  Working on a full details.  Thanks to HSL for the sponsorship. 3D printer station was great. 
• A few unfinished items:
  • Storage needs to be rebuilt
  • Chairs back to storage
  • Heat press needs plug replacement
• Next year it will be the weekend of Feb 18 as well.  T Shirt making party!

New business

• Next week on Thursday, STEAM night at elementary school.  Need help and support.  Can either bring something to share, or can volunteer just to help host.  Biggest need is drone flying.  5:30-7:30 @ Wilson Elementary on Southern & Higley
• Reminder that people using the lab should help cleanup.  Spend 15 minutes when you're in the lab.  In particular, there is one member that was discussed.
  • Cleaning definitely needs to be part of the culture
    
• There was an unannounced special event using the lab on Friday & Saturday.  Events should be on the calendar as it allows members to know what is use.
• Discussion on use of slack & google group
  • If it's urgent, post in all the places.  Ose recommends IRC.
• Brief discussion on the effectiveness of the monitors
  

Robot Ambassador proposal

• Allows Eric Ose to use equipment offsite with station head and board approval
• Jot brings up the concern that there should be some percentage of the class fees due to the equipment costs and we're running in the red.
• Nate asks how long it's for, and confirmed it is for 2022.

• All printers still printing!
• Got a new donation that's interesting

Metal Shop

• Everything seems to be running well
• CNC working well
• Lathe good
• Bluemill works
• New chuck for the green lathe

Laser

• Request most people stop using the weights to hold material down.  Tends to cause head crashes.  Please use the logs.

• ASU MIX (Media Immersive Experience) center is hiring for a few positions
  • Fabrication lab coordinator
  • Production lab coordinator

(maybe less interesting to HSL members in general, but they're also hiring for an Administrative Assistant and a Business Operations person (which maybe I should know what that is  :)  ) )
