Does HSL have a laser engraver?
Can you engrave an image and text on a 3D printed Vessel?

My friend is printing a funerary urn for their long time pet that just died. He would like to put ashes in the urn and put an image of his bird, and it's dates on it.
Thanx much.

Hmm, from what I'm reading it's rather dodgy. https://www.reddit.com/r/lasercutting/comments/vt6sx7/is_it_safe_to_laser_cut_pla_i_have_a_bunch_of/ has replies all over the map, from "it's fine" to "it'll melt" to "it may contain PVC and could therefore release lethal gas".

If your friend can incorporate the image and text into the initial print, that'd be a whole lot better.

my personal 2 cents would be to laser engrave a plaque on slate and integrate that into the urn. Laser engraved slate looks classy and subtle and can easily be slotted into a recess in the urn.
