Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a great weekend and have a wonderful Christmas Eve tomorrow.

First, I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who made HaXmas possible:

  - Luis: Thank you for making this event happen.
  - Landon: Thank you for coordinating everything, ensuring we had food, and staying for several shifts.
  - Nate and Cinthya: Thank you for covering shifts and providing help.

I enjoyed sharing my projects this year and wanted to share the results.

1. Acrylic Keychains (Laser Cutter)

To celebrate buying our first house, my wife and I engraved the red glass cups we used to cheer when we got the key (they looked awesome, we also tested on black glass).
Here the glass engrave

During HaXmas, I returned to engrave keychains on black vinyl for my wife, who liked the original idea.

2. Christmas Decor Spheres (Vinyl Cutter)

My wife and I usually buy these custom decor spheres, but last year a DIY attempt failed due to poor equipment. This year, HaXmas came to the rescue! I was able to save the day, get decor ready for family we were seeing on Sunday, and even create a sphere for our recently adopted kitty with the same pattern as her siblings. This wouldn't have been possible through a third party on such short notice.

I spent the whole night focused and was able to press the vinyl name cuts onto a glitter sphere. (Future self: clear coat may help, as Cinthya and Landon suggested!)

Thank you again, Luis, Landon, Nate, and Cinthya, and thank you for the food. I have placed a lump-sum donation and hope it serves as my "grain of sand" to help the cause.

Best regards,

Rafael Karosuo

Dang it, hit enter while attaching the pics, bummer!

The sheer-will pressed into unforgiven glitter decor

Let me tell you, that thing isn't flimsy, I tried on a throwaway decor, rubbed my finger harshly and it didn't come off.
I still will try to dust coat it with clear coat if I have a chance, as we ended up not seeing them on Sunday and we will bring those tomorrow to dinner

Lastly, any thoughts on these, are welcome!

Thanks Rob! It means a lot to hear those look great

I just realized I didn't attach the pics for the keychains, so here there are.
Also a plus, the black glass I mentioned and a pic of Haxmas with one of the Christmas decor it allowed me to do.
