Looking for Help with Woodshop Project

Hello, 

I am not sure if this is the best place for this, but I am looking for someone who can help me out by cutting some thin wooden pieces. I personally am not very handy with woodworking or cutting. 

Below is an image of what I am looking for. I would need 10 of them. I am willing to discuss further if anyone is interested. Thanks!

That sounds like a really good opportunity for the laser cutter. Do you have a vector file for this or just a bitmap?

The laser is so small in what it cuts (0.3 mm) that usually you don't adjust for it unless you really need precision.

Here is the vector file. The large circle will be 13 inches in diameter, the middle circle is 4 inches in diameter, and the circles around the edge of the larger circle are 3 inches in diameter.

Interesting. The vector seemed strange in a couple ways. Lots of extra lines (as far as I know) and the sizes aren't the same as you mentioned. What software are you designing in?

What level of precision do you need and where?

I ask because all of these should be easy to achieve, but I'm not sure what parts are import and and if the double lines are intentional.

I just used an online vectorizer. I don't have a software that can turn images to vectors. The sizing is the most important aspect of it. I'm just wanting it to look like this (with the measurements I listed)

Our expert drafter Katy beat me to it. Funny how every program I have tried change the dimensions. I'm not at the lab or I'd check LaserCut 5.3. Easy enough to scale it. Hot tip for everyone: if a dxf doesn't open in LaserCut 5.3 then open it in LightBurn and export the dxf.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. What do you need from me for this?

You'll need plywood that fits in the laser which can fit anything 48"x32" or under. I've been a bit busy with events and now we have HAXMAS so there will be someone at the lab until Sunday evening.

Possibly. Best to say here when you're ready and make sure people will have time.

If you did show up it's best if there's not already a deadline in your part. I really like the people whose first time at the lab is walking in the doors with materials. Sadly we can't always have someone available to help with a specific tool.

Sounds good. I will try to have it tomorrow for the open hours. I'm on a slight deadline but it's 2 weeks away (January 10th) and I can ensure at least a few hours available the day I arrive.
