Hey everyone :)
I’m a student looking for incubators, makerspaces, or creative spaces that have embroidery machines available. Ideally, I’d love to find something with budget-friendly membership options. Does anyone know of any spaces with embroidery machines or can point me in the right direction?

Thanks so much!

Hi Jhovanna!

We do have an embroidery machine you can use in our sewing section, along with several other sewing machines and tools. It is free to use during our open public hours M-T-W 7-10pm and Saturday 12-5pm. We have a sewing night every second Tuesday night during open hours with our sewing section leader, that's always a good time to come in and get familiar with our machines. We also do a craft night 1st and 3rd Mondays during open hours, I host it and can prolly help you figure out what you need.

Generally, the lab operates as a non-profit through donations. $50 monthly membership gets you a storage box at the lab, and you can come in during non-public hours and eventually earn a keycard for 24/7 access. Most tools you can just come in and use, but some of the bigger items like the laser cutter and the metal shop we have a certification class process for. You will need to sign a liability waiver your first time using the lab.

Let us know if you have any other questions!
Katy

This is great! I would love to come in this Saturday.
However, I'm not familiar with how to use the machine. I do have the design, it's a small logo on the left side of the chest on a hoodie and sweatpants.

Thank you,
Jhovanna
