We are hosting Tech Tear Apart again on Saturday May 9th from 2pm - 5pm.

I'm going to attempt to do some circuit bending. For that reason I have an keyboard (electronic piano) a speak and math. If you have any broken tech that might be fun for circuit bending then bring it, or anything else you want to take apart.

Anything we can't fit in the gray bins will get sent back to recycling. We will take everything to recycling if we aren't putting components into our gray bins (which are full anyway).

How long have the current contents of the grey bins been sitting unused? Maybe we should discard some of the old contents to make room for something new?

Those bins have been there a long time, but hard to say about any specific item in them. Most of that has been there very long.

Fun stuff. Today I picked up 9 printers, 1 scanner, 100 CD Player, and an audio player that has CD Player, cassette tapes, and record player.

Other things I have to bring; VCR camcorder, VCR player, Cricut vinyl cutter (very outdated model), typewriter, AM/FM radio alarm clock, Mini cassette recorder, Electronic Baseball, plug in calculator by texas instruments with LED's!, Grundig World Receiver AM/FM and shortwave radio.

This Saturday from 2pm - 5pm

Eric - any idea of the working state of the typewriter?

The typewriter looked like it was in really good condition but I didn't try it.

Any chance I can temporarily claim it for a future project idea that I have? By temporary I mean that if I don't end up getting around to the project soon I would release it back into the ecosystem for others to have a chance at using or repurposing its guts.

I put a bunch of printers and a few other things in the lab already. They should be enough out of the way under the tables by woodshop.

We have projectors for tear apart we picked up as well. Those and other stuff will arrive tomorrow.

Already have a lot of people signed up for this event which is great.
