Hey Lab,
I'm finally hosting a planet making workshop. Well a planet sign that lights up. $30 tickets register here.

Learn to solder and make your own white board planet sign with a light up planetary ring. The 55 color changing LED's make this a great opportunity for lots of soldering practice. Each of these fun LED's cycles through the same color pattern yet doing it without precision timing so the effect is chaotic looking colorful fun.

The sign is 31.5" from one end of the ring to the other. The project includes everything you need including a USB power supply with a second USB output great for charging another device. It should take about 45 minutes to finish your sign. The check in times are staggered to give personal instruction for assembling and soldering your sign. After that you will have plenty of time to finish your sign.

Oh I need a video, but for now here's a photo. I'll be putting one of these signs in the window soon to advertise this upcoming class.

Looks like fun.

Crazy thought.  Could you daisy chain the power for your planets?

Yes it would be pretty easy to connect multiple planets since everything is already just a parallel circuit. Although it's probably going to not be very pretty unless the wires match the planets.

I might have to get some white wiring to make it blend in more as it is. Something like this probably will look nicer than having a black wire against a white wall.
