Austin and I installed the Corel plugin for our laser on the laser computer.  The version of Corel is X3.  It is on a 15 day trial as of tonight.  There is also an AutoCAD plugin but that was not installed.

Has it been updated? It was really crashy and provided no benefit over standalone lasercut when we tried it years ago.

There was no performance testing done.  The main focus was on making sure lasercut proper would still operate per usual.  The corel addin on the laser computer is what came with lasercut 5.3.  It may be possible to engrave an O with the center not being etched if you follow.  Right now, via lasercut if one tries to etch an O it will fill in everything and not leave the center alone.  I have not tested this.  My hope was that with Corel's graphics abilities the plugin would be able to read the 3d laser etches I was able to create.  There is a COM interface for lasercut which allows languages such as VBA and C# to be able to access lasercut functions but that appears more work than I am willing to undertake due to the lack of documentation on the file formats.  I am uncertain if we can add more functionality to our laser without changing the controller board.
