Hello

I am seeking your advice on identifying skilled developers interested in co-founding a startup in the shipping and logistics sector. While I bring extensive experience as a non-tech business owner and Director of Operations, I require a technical partner to lead platform development, as my own programming skills are outdated and my current North Slope work schedule and home life make relearning them a difficult goal(though i am trying). My attempts at prototyping with "vibe coding" tools have not yielded the consistency needed for a scalable application.

Could you suggest any platforms, communities, or networking events where I might connect with potential technical co-founders? Any guidance or introductions you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Dan Lundgren

First off, in order to get a good person, you will need to compensate them (with more then just equity). Finding a cofounder is very difficult, and is as important (more important) then finding a spouse.

Here are some resources:
https://www.startupgrind.com/phoenix/
https://venturecafephoenix.org/ (website maybe broken but this is a weekly meetup downtown on Thurs and it is well attended and vibrant)
https://www.yesphx.com/
https://www.freewayphx.com/network

lastly, a good community (but not for startups, but just to meet people):
https://www.meetup.com/azemergingtech/  (I run this meetup, and I also am the speaker in May - I don't speak often here, once every 2 years)
