Good news! You don't have to ride to hell and back, you only have to get 5 card members and 8 total members to show up for HYH on Saturday (and the majority to vote in favor) ;-)

The vote on card access for Austin Townsend and myself is at HYH, tomorrow, 10am!

5 cardholders must vote or it doesn't count. If we'd been eligible last HYH, not enough cardholders would have been present. And since our sponsors have to be present as well, we would all have been really sad.

So if you can make it tomorrow, it would be really appreciated! (Oh, and we'll be voting on the website redesign and cleaning the lab too.)

Also, I've been asked to post a little about myself, so here goes:

I'm the author of two programming books: Head First Ruby and Head First Go, both published by O'Reilly. https://headfirstruby.com/ https://headfirstgo.com/

I've been involved with HeatSync on-and-off for over a decade, most heavily in the past year.

Around the lab you'll usually find me working with the laser cutters. I've done a few original designs which I'm basically replicating in every medium I can. That extends to the vinyl cutters as well. The success of the Elegoo Centauri Carbons at the lab inspired me to get one of my own recently, and once I'm up to speed I hope to help people at the lab with that knowledge as well.

I've also been giving tours, helping with our social media presence, and cleaning and organizing our front window displays. Basically just trying to get the word out about the lab and attract new members.

Hope to see you tomorrow morning for the vote. Especially cardholders. Please help us make quorum!

At the previous HYH, we barely made quorum with 8 people there. Today, I counted at least 16 people.
