As you may know, severe gale northwesterlies with damaging gusts of 130 km/h in exposed places have been identified for tomorrow, Thursday 23 October, from 10 am to 4 pm. We are also expecting high temperatures which significantly increase the risk of fire.
Please have a look around your house to identify any risk factors. Trampolines, damaged trees or fences. pack away garden furniture and ensure animals are safe and not exposed to the wind.
Above all remember to check in with neighbours, especially those living alone or in need of a little extra support
