Working Bee with picnic afterward

One of our initiatives, as part of Heathcote Valley Community Association, is working out how to be good treaty partners. With that in mind, and wanting to support Rapaki Marae, we take care of their vegetable garden beds.Ā

They are also preparing another large vegetable patch. We would like to be able to work to help support this. The soil needs a lot of preparation.Ā

We are calling all able-bodied diggers to come with spades & forks for a working bee,Ā Saturday September 27th 9.45 till 1pm. Feel free to bring some lunch to have a picnic afterwards.

If you are able to help, please contact Ali – aliso...@gmail.com,Ā or Sooze -Ā sw.sl....@gmail.com

Freecycle Day - Saturday 20th
The weather is looking fantasticĀ for tomorrow's freecycle day
Just pop any unwanted items at the front of your property for locals to wander by to find that perfectĀ thing to take home and cherish.
Any items remainingĀ take back onto your property by the end of the day.
Have fun and enjoy the day

šŸ„•šŸ’Farmers MarketĀ šŸ„©šŸ‘©ā€šŸŒ¾

This Saturday Dazzling Edges is at the market to take care of your blunt utensils. Hi could even give any tools you might pick up at the tool sale a new life. Next weekend we have walnuts back. With ample easy parking and everything fresh, our nice little boutique market has all you need.Ā

Our secondĀ Art from the AtticĀ show is on this Saturday, and there are some great bargains to be had. The quality of art is just as good as the first show in April, with something for every taste.Ā

We also have a good selection of tools on sale, from drills, leaf blowers, garden tools, old antique saws, all at good prices. It runs from 9am to 1pm in the hall.Ā

See you there!Ā

Ā

FOOD TRUCK ALLEY IS BACK!!

Next weekend’s start of daylight-saving means that Food Truck Alley is starting again. We have some new trucks this summer, along with the favourites from past alleys.Ā Ā

The Neutrons are the entertainment for the opener.Ā Ā

With plenty of parking and a great playground, Food Truck Alley is a fun event where the community gets together.Ā

šŸŽµĀ šŸŽ¶Ā Mt Pleasant SingersĀ will get together next Thursday 25 September at 1pm in the Hall!Ā

Followed by a cuppa and chat in the Barista Binks Cafe.

Everyone welcomeĀ šŸ¤—

An update on Lliew Summers Flight sculpture -

The police have arrested the person who stole Flight. His court date is October 8. Plans are underway to recreate Flight in another medium, as most of the bronze from the original has been sold as scrap. Details on how you might be able to assist in making this happen will be announced once we know the outcome of the court case.Ā
